Kong from Monsterverse May Be Coming to Fortnite in Chapter

A recent leak suggests that Kong from the Monsterverse franchise could be joining Fortnite in the upcoming Chapter 6 of the battle royale game. This follows the confirmed arrival of his iconic rival, Godzilla, in the latest trailer for the upcoming chapter, which teased a collaboration with the legendary kaiju.

The trailer for Fortnite Chapter 6 has already confirmed Godzilla's inclusion, showcasing his bright pink spines and nuclear breath, directly pulled from Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. He will appear alongside new original Fortnite characters and other crossover figures from different franchises.

The latest leak comes from well-known Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR on Twitter, who posted information suggesting Kong will also be appearing in the game soon. While there is no official confirmation regarding Kong’s exact arrival or how he will be featured in Fortnite, the mid-season collaboration trend makes it likely that his appearance will come later in the chapter.

Kong has previously made appearances in other video games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 through a Godzilla x Kong crossover, and received his own solo game, Kong: Survivor Instinct, earlier this year.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 appears to be heavily influenced by Japanese culture, with skins inspired by samurai, anime, and other iconic aspects of the country. Leaks also hint at a Demon Slayer crossover and a Baymax skin from Disney’s Big Hero 6.

Additionally, Fortnite will see a slight price increase for the Battle Pass, which will now cost 1,000 V-Bucks, up from the usual 950. However, Epic Games has assured that the prices of V-Bucks will remain unchanged. Players can expect to explore these new additions, along with a fresh map, when Chapter 6 kicks off on December 1.
